Retrovir was taken during my pregnancy to stop the HIV from being passed to the unborn child, and I am grateful to it for preserving both me and my unborn child. My reports were under control from the beginning, and I never had any difficulties again.

I learned that my former partner was infected with HIV, I got scared and went to get myself tested, and it came out positive. My VL then was above 2 million, and my CD4 the count was below 500. I took this medicine for the next six months, and my VL was undetectable; the CD4 levels were above 1100. I have been taking this medication for three years, and VL is still undetectable. This drug is a lifesaver.
