Generic Tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4mg finasteride 5mg being an alpha-blocker helps treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. This medicine works by soothing and relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate. Therefore, helping relieve the symptoms of BPH, such as; difficulty in the flow of urine, weak stream, urge to urinate, and others.

Do not use over the counter finasteride and Tamsulosin tablets if you are allergic to it or any of the ingredients present in it. Or, if you have any other allergies.

Inform your doctor about all your medical history, especially of; liver disease, kidney disease, heart problems, low blood pressure, certain types of eye problems, and others. 

Older adults are more sensitive towards the side effects of finasteride + Tamsulosin 0.4mg/5mg.

This drug can make you dizzy and can blur your vision. Limit alcohol consumption as it can worsen your condition. Do not do any tasks that need you to be alert, such as; driving or using heavy machinery. 

This medicine will make you more likely to get a heat stroke. 

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant. 

It is unknown if the drug passes into breast milk.

The following are finasteride and Tamsulosin combination side effects;

• a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;

• new or worsening chest pain;

• upper stomach pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); or

• penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer.

Common side effects may include:

• dizziness;

• headache; or

• feeling tired.

Take Tamsulosin 0.4mg + Finasteride 5mg tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. 

This medicine is taken after a meal at the same time, each day. 

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, chew, or break it. 

Store at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture.
