I had a Gastrointestinal Tumor removed from my stomach about 5 years ago and have been on Gleevec 100 mg since then. I took the medicine for sometime and have been living a good life now. The only side effect I had was occasional mild cramping. Apart from that everything was completely fine.

I was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and was prescribed Gleevec. I have been taking the generic Gleevec for the last 3 years, and the medication has worked significantly well. It has brought down the WBC level and prevented damaging RBC and bone marrow. I did not notice any significant side effects from this medication.
