My doctor prescribed me Salicylic Acid 6% which is a Generic equivalent of Brand Name "Acnevir". Salicylic acid being a keratolytic (peeling agent) causes shedding of the outer layer of skin. I am using this medication for over a month for Acne and could see a major difference in my skin.
